mission

Our mission

AVRH works in partnership with companies, adopting a compensation management approach focused on improving the relative happiness index within their organizations. Both employees and employers benefit from our expertise and our methodology, which emphasizes open and proactive communication, harmonious collaboration, and fairness among all stakeholders.

AVRH represents the win-win solution for all leaders and managers wishing to find the balance between employee engagement and results.

Our history

AVRH was born from an opportunity – the adoption of the Pay Equity Act in 1997 – and the progressive vision of André Valiquette, who founded AVRH in 2000 with the goal of supporting organizations in their job evaluation and compensation negotiation processes.

A visionary, he recruited Hélène Bourcier, a seasoned professional in the field. In 2003, she became the owner and assembled an exceptional team.

Since 2000, AVRH has specialized in compensation management, pay equity, job evaluation, job classification, compensation structure development, and negotiation.

2007 marked a turning point for AVRH, which was mandated to carry out several job evaluation projects for the Pay Equity Commission. AVRH is now recognized as a specialist in this field.

It is therefore no surprise that in 2012, AVRH embraced technology by developing a software tool HR Balance Software, which enables pay equity, job classification, and the development of a compensation structure, has been marketed since 2018 and has become essential for businesses.

AVRH's clientele includes companies with 15,000 to 21,000 employees, both unionized and non-unionized. These clients include municipalities, government agencies, industries, and numerous hotels.
